I started doing something called the "Daily 5" a while ago, and it's been really helpful. Instead of writing a huge long list everyday, you write down the five most important things for that day, and then you number them...and then you start at the top. That way, you're always getting the most important things done each day. Then on a day where you have less to do, you can be more big picture/long term in your list. Anyways, just a thought.
