Dumpster Diving at my leisure

This morning started out like any other day except my roommate, Courtney, walked to school with me. In haste, I left the house without my keys and did not realize that until I was standing infront of my locked apartment hoping that one of my roommates was coming home soon. Luckily, Michelle, my other roommate, was at home. I probably should have looked for my keys then but I had some more pressing matters(making the best turkey sandwich ever!) to attend to. It did not occur to me till i had to be at a MESA meeting that I needed my keys. I could not find them anywhere. i tore my room to pieces looking for them but they were lost for good. Then I said a little prayer and I thought to look in the trash. Oh but I had just taken the trash out the nastiest apartment dumpster ever. So, There I am with the dumpster waiting for some guys to walk into their place before I dig into the dumpster of despair. It was actually quite easy finding my trash bag and my keys were in a wod of The NY Times' art and leisure section. In the end my keys are safe and have been wiped down with anti-bacteral cloths and my mind is at peace. Now i don't have to be fined for losing my key. Yaya. Oh and If Courtney ever reads this, It was not your fault. Your are the bast lil Mum ever.

Starving Sucker

So, I bought a Starving Student card and now I'm starving because I have no money to buy real food. I hate when salesman come to my door and are so persuasive with dumb products. The salesman really related to me by sharing that he was also a BYU student. He had my heartstrings at hello. It is even worse when this awful engaged boy/salesperson follows one to come back into one's room and looks at all one's dirty clothes while one buys their product online with their assistance. Hmmm I am a sucker.

Walking like a real BYU kid.

These last few days have been a whirlwind of getting settled, establishing some roots at school, and forming friendships. I can proudly say that I am feeling pretty good about the upcoming week of school and this year of living in Provo. I didn't really know how much I would love it here but I really do.
Many of my fears and apprehensions of moving up here have been extinguished. My room mates are fantastic people whom are all very interesting and kind. It has been a huge comfort to have good friends living so close up here too. Hay has been a real sport. She came to a pretty great social situation with me last night. What a champ! Dllion was also good enough to eat food and play Nintendo 64 with me earlier this week. Having these plans with friends has been a life saver.
If these last few day's experiences are any indication of the type of year I am going to have at BYU then let it be.

COD

Call of Duty is definitely a fun way to spend an evening! Even for those who don't excell in hand-eye-coordination activities, COD can be great. I am one of those people who like COD but suck at playing the game. I'm just glad that I can provide some sort of entertainment while I am being eaten by zombies or sniped from a far off distance.

Once

Ricky's new song "Once" is out and is ready to be heard by all. "Once" you listen to it you won't be able to stop. I love this song. Everything on it turned out beautifully. Thank you Ricky for letting me be a part of this process with you.

A sad song

Last night, Ricky and I had so much fun recording our song and trying out new styles of singing but all that happiness was abashed after today's sacrament fiasco.
The singing quartet consisted of Tyler G., Ricky V., Sawrria, and me. The song was "Be Still my Soul." We started out good but then tunes were lost and even some voices. It was just bad. To add insult to injury, I had to stand up in front of the same people and teach sunday school right after. Oh yeah, and I have to speak in sacrament next week. So much church stuff. Well, at least we all had a good laugh?

It has begun.

Today, I start my blahging adventure. My main reason for doing all this is to keep my friends and family updated on the happenings of my life. Some crazy and unexpected things are sure to occur as I start my new life in Provo. But the summer is not over yet and much more playing with friends is to be had.(i.e. eating and sleeping at Sarai and Laura's) Thus, I conclude my first post with a promise of more posts to come. Thanks to all who want to read my funny little thoughts.
